Crisis Services (Crisis Stabilization Unit):
Our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a 24-hour, seven days a week facility that provides interventions to those who are experiencing a mental health crisis.
This could include intensive behavioral, emotional or substance use situations, acute psychiatric conditions or problems that could escalate to a point of requiring hospitalization. Crisis resolution, individualized structured treatment plans and therapeutic activities are provided to our consumers.
Many of the individuals admitted are admitted involuntary under the Baker Act, and are potentially at risk to themselves or others.

CBHC crisis services programs dedicated to providing intensive behavioral health services with dignity, respect, and compassion to persons and their family members who are undergoing a crisis.
Our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) offers:
- Assessment and treatment services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for children, adolescents, and adults.
- Staffing to include Nurses, Technicians, and Therapy staff around the clock to support the safety and stabilization of individuals in an acute mental health crisis who are a danger to themselves or others because of their mental illness
- Voluntary and involuntary (Baker Act) admissions to residents of Charlotte and DeSoto counties
- Psychiatric Evaluation and Psychiatrist Rounds Daily
