Accreditation

Charlotte Behavioral Health Care underwent its’ fifth accreditation review by the nationally recognized and highly respected CARF (Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). CARF accreditation indicates CBHC’s commitment to continually improving treatment services, encouraging feedback, and serving the community. CBHC’s programs and services received the highest possible level of accreditation.

In the following areas CBHC demonstrates exemplary conformance to the standards:

CBHC does exemplary work on performance measurement and improvement in service delivery.  The organization provides internal measures that are above state levels and exceed other state-imposed measurements.  In 2018, the organization was awarded a five-star performance achievement by Central Florida Behavioral Health Network, Inc. for service delivery performance based on over 1600 best practice measures, satisfaction ratings, and patient recovery success. Funders reported that services and partnerships for many areas have greatly benefited from the CBHC service model.

November, 2018

CBHC received the Legacy Award from Drug Free Charlotte County. This award represents CBHC’s commitment to substance use disorder prevention and treatment. CBHC was also recognized by DFCC for our efforts to address the problem of suicide in Charlotte County before funds were readily available to address the problem.

September, 2017

CBHC received the Non-Profit Business of the Year Award from the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce.
